I have taken my 11 yr old grandson to a couple of movies, Maudie and Step. Maudie had one suggestive sexual scene, but it was totally worth him seeing it. I am surprised more kids are not in the audience. So many of the films are great teaching experiences. Most kids are used to the frenetic, bang bang, run off the road shows. Films like the ones shown at the Park City Film Series are interesting to some kids and bring them down several notches while teaching them they can be interested in other films than the mindless movies Hollywood is putting out. Take your kids! And let them "stay up late" if they watch Masterpiece Theater with you.:)
