I was "next in line" to talk to reception for 20 minutes. Even called from a second line and it said, "you are 4th in line and your wait will be approximately 7 minute." Super frustrating.
It is unfortunate that occasionally you encounter businesses like this that do not operate with appropriate integrity and/or competence. The doctor seemed very personable and honest at first blush. I still don't know whether it was intentional fraud or just gross incompetent but I went in for an ordinary physical and was shcoked to receive a $600 bill (in addition to the $450 my insurance paid). Apparently a series of tests I never authorized and the reasons for which were never explained were conducted. I remember when they took my blood I asked the nurse "why the heck are you taking so many tubes of blood." His practice is so poorly run and staff is so incompetent that the they change every couple months and nobody knows what is going on. They do not respond to written correspondence asking for an explanation of the over-billing. They do not respond to the pharmacy when it's renewal time for my medication. I stand on principle and will not pay this fraudulent debt despite harassment from the collection agency they hired. The visit was useless and I can't even get medications out of it. Where I'm from the doctors operate with more honesty and integrity. Welcome to the wild west, I guess...
Dr. Brian Rush is an excellent primary care physician. He thoroughly explains the problem and helps find solutions that are reasonable.
